Marshall Football: Herd Honors 75 Lost in Plane Crash

This Thursday Marshall travels to Tulsa for the schools first road football game on November 14th since 1970. For those who don't know, November 14th will mark the 43rd anniversary of Southern Airways flight 932 which carried 37 members of Marshall's football team, eight coaches, 25 boosters, and five members of the flight crew. Returning from a game against East Carolina, the plane crashed while attempting to land at Tri-State Airport, killing all on board.

On campus, the Marshall community will gather at the Memorial Fountain to remember the 75 lives lost. Unable to participate in this years ceremony, the football team will don a special helmet decal to commemorate Thursday's anniversary.
